Change device definition

In the
Device Definition
 dialog box, use the
Overview
 view to change the definition of a device.
Prerequisites
  • Verify that the parent controller of the device is offline.
To change the device definition
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Overview
    .
  2. In the
    Overview
     view, select
    Device definition
    .
  3. In the
    Device Definition
     dialog box, configure the parameters as needed.
  4. Select
    OK
     to finalize the changes and exit the dialog box.
  5. In the apply changes dialog box, select
    Yes
     to update the appropriate values and return to the
    Overview
     view.
    Data is recovered from the previous definition settings or set to their default values, as appropriate. Configurations are updated, as required for the new device definition.
  6. Select
    OK
     to make the changes to the project.
