Using the component browser

You can use the component browser to specify components for particular graphic objects. The only objects that this currently applies to are the Local Message Display and Display List Selector.
To use the component browser:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    , on the graphic display, select an object.
  2. In the
    Property Panel
    , in the
    Properties
     tab, click the property that takes a component.
    TIP:
    The property is
    MessageFile
    for the Local Message Display, and
    Display
    or
    Parameter
    for the Display List Selector.
  3. Click the browse button (...) beside the property.
  4. In the
    Component Browser
    , select one of the property's components. It is called when the object is activated at runtime.
