Causes of runtime errors for Enter key handshaking
At runtime the application logs error messages about Enter key handshaking to FactoryTalk Diagnostics under these circumstances:
Enter key handshake time expires
If the Enter key handshake time expires before the Enter Handshake tag resets the Enter tag, the application logs an error.
Enter key handshaking still in effect
If the operator presses the Enter key for an object whose Enter tag has not yet been reset (using a key button or external keyboard or keypad), the application logs an error.
Unassigned connections
If the Value connection is unassigned (or if the object cannot write to the Value tag), the Enter tag is not set to 1, the highlight is removed, and the application logs an error.
