Connection fault
This table lists possible connection fault reasons and corrective actions:

Major Unrecoverable Fault | PRP position of the PRP/DLR switch detected by the firmware that does not support PRP mode (major firmware revision 1 and 2). | Set the PRP/DLR switch to DLR and then power cycle your device. |
Major Recoverable Fault | Count of devices or terminal bases connected to adapter exceeded allowed supported value. | Ensure that the total number of terminal bases connected to the adapter does not exceed the supported value. |
I/O devices slot number validation failure. |

Generic firmware fault detected. | Refer to publication ENET-UM004 for information on how to retrieve a fault log for further analysis. | |

Device Level Ring error detected. | Check the status of your DLR network and ensure that there are no faults. | |
SFP transceiver plugged into a slot set up with fixed values (for example, speed, duplex). SFP type is then changed and the fixed values are no longer applicable to the new SFP transceiver. The fixed configuration written to the flash is being reset and default parameters are being used. The configuration changed because it is incompatible with the new SFP transceiver. | Remove and re-insert the SFP transceiver to clear the fault and acknowledge the error. | |
Adapter firmware does not recognize SFP transceiver plugged into a slot. | Check if the SFP transceiver used is supported. Refer to publication 5094-TD001 for information on supported SPF transceivers. If the SFP transceiver is supported, it may be damaged. Replace the SFP transceiver. | |
SFP over current condition exists. |
