Configure input point parameters

Configure input point parameters for the input device.
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Points
    .
  2. In the
    Points
     view, under the
    Input Points
     section, configure the following parameters as needed:
    • Point Mode
      . Select the points' input mode.
    • Test Source
      . If
      Point Mode
       is set to
      Safety Pulse Test
      , select the output terminal associated with the pulse test.
    • Input Delay Time Off -> On
      . Select the amount of time for an Off to On transition delay.
    • Input Delay Time On -> Off
      . Select the amount of time for an On to Off transition delay.
    • Transition Time Limit
      . If available, select the amount of time that the device ignores a discrepancy in input detection so that a slow changing signal does not report a fault.
    • Diagnostics
      . If online, select diagnostic-icon to view diagnostic information.
  3. In
    Input Error Latch Time
    , enter the time the device holds an error to make sure that the controller can detect the error and provide more accurate diagnostics.
  4. Select
    OK
    .
