Lock the Controller

See Safety Application Lock/Unlock for information about the safety lock feature. When you deploy to a locked safety controller,
FactoryTalk® Design Studio™
 performs an internal check to see if safety changes occurred in the offline project since the last deployment. You can only deploy if no safety changes are present. Otherwise, you must safety-unlock the safety controller before deployment.

IMPORTANT: If you change the safety controller application after the initial safety-lock, you must first safety-unlock the safety controller to deploy, which deletes the safety signature. You must manually regenerate a new safety signature after deployment.
