Communication

To communicate with an SSI sensor the code type and word length (that is, resolution) configuration must match the SSI sensor specification. See the sensor manufacturer’s data sheet for the required configuration. These parameters are configured in Module Properties → SSI.

The code type supported are gray code and natural binary.

The word length supported is range of 2…31 bits. This should include position bits (resolution) and trailing bits if standardization is used. For more information, see Data Format.
