Settings

The owner or administrator of an organization can edit their organizations or sub-organizations by selecting
Settings
from the FactoryTalk Hub menu.
From the Settings screen, you can:
  • Change the name, description, location, and add an image of the organization or sub-organization.
TIP: Images used for organization logos must be smaller than 125 kB.
  • Transfer an organization or sub-organization ownership if you do not want to be an owner of an organization or sub-organization. Only the owner can transfer the ownership. See Transfer Organization Ownership.
  • Leave an organization or sub-organization that you do not want to be a member of. The owner of the organization or sub-organization cannot leave the organization or sub-organization before transferring the ownership. See Leave an Organization.
  • Create and copy new Join Links to let people request access to the organization or sub-organization. When you reset a link from an organization's edit organization page, all previous links to the page become invalid.
  • You can archive organizations or sub-organizations that are no longer in use, or that you created by mistake. See Archive Organization.
  • Organization only
    :
    • Set an organization to be publicly visible or not by selecting the Organization Access checkbox. Leaving the box unchecked means only people who receive an invitation or Join request link you have shared can see and join your organization. A user can modify an email domain for an organization and add more than one domain.
TIP: Any set of email domains configured means that when the organization is publicly visible, all users having any of those email domains can see it in the Join organization page and request access to it.
    • Change the organization hierarchy, available only to administrators of the organization. This allows you to convert an organization to a sub-organization and choose a parent for the newly converted sub-organization.
  • Sub-organization only
: Change the sub-organization hierarchy, available only to administrators of the parent organization:
    • Change a parent to a different organization. In the Organization Hierarchy section, you can see what the current parent organization is.
    • Promote a sub-organization to become an organization.
