Safety-locked with Safety Changes

When a safety controller is safety-locked (set in Safety Application Lock/Unlock of the Safety Controller Profile),

FactoryTalk® Design Studio™

checks if you have made any safety changes to the safety application since the previous deployment.

When you make safety changes while the safety controller is safety-locked, a pre-deployment warning shows. If authorized according to your role (see Managing User Roles and Access), you can acknowledge the warning and the safety controller will unlock. If you are not authorized to make safety changes, you must remove your changes to the safety application before deployment.
