Peer Command Example

In this example, the
EtherNet/IP
In-cabinet system consists of three devices.
  • Start/stop push button
  • Pilot light controlled by peer
  • Motor starter controlled by peer 3-wire
In this example, the following actions occur:
  • The motor starter reads the push button status and uses data to energize and de-energize the contactor.
  • The pilot light reads the motor starter status and uses data to illuminate the pilot light.
Requests continue to occur at the Data Request Rate (DRR).
