Measurement systems

Display data in the measurement system for the locale of the current session.
Measurement systems in
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
 include:
  • International System of Measurement
  • United States Customary System
  • British Imperial System
If not otherwise specified for each user or each session, the measurement system is based on the country for the locale. The UI
Session
and
User
 objects associate a measurement system with a language. For example, it-US displays text in Italian, but data in the U.S. system of measurement. You can display data in units of measure that are not standard to the measurement system or create customized measurement units.
TIP:
Use the
Measurement System Map
 editor to view units of measure for different measurement systems. To open the editor, select project root and then select in the
Map of measurement systems
 property.
