Customize standard units of measure

The session locale determines the measurement system for the displayed data. For example, a session with the en-US locale displays temperatures in Fahrenheit degrees.
Customize measurement units at the project level to use different measurement systems for each desired quantity. For example, import data from a sensor configured in a custom degrees format but display the value in Celsius at runtime. To customize units of measure, map the measurements in the
Measurement systems map
.
  1. In
    Project view
    , select the project root node.
  2. In
    Properties
    , after
    Measurement systems map
    , select
    Edit with Measurement system editor
    .
  3. In the title bar of the
    MeasurementSystemMap
    that opens in the center of the screen, select  . A new row appears in the map table.
  4. In the
    From
    column, select the input quantity of interest or the value from the sensor. The selected units of measure will be translated to the equivalent quantity for the different locales in the three remaining columns.
  5. In the
    International System of Units
    ,
    US Customary Measurement System
    , and
    British Imperial Units columns
    , select the desired target measurement units.
