USERS AND GROUPS

Authentication modes determine the user types that can log in to the application:
User authentication mode

Allows only the users created in

COMMUNICATION DRIVERS

TIP: This Communication driver supports importing tags in the online mode. The online mode does not require manually exporting tags from the controller to a file.
These modules cannot be used with the
RA EtherNet/IP Driver

You can load tags in the offline mode into
FactoryTalk Optix Studio

DYNAMIC LINKS

Read
Read from source node to the parent.
Default for dynamic links defined in NetLogics.
Write
Write from the parent to the source node.
Read/write
Read from the source node to the parent and write from the parent to the source node.
Default for dynamic links created in
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
UI.
The direction of the dynamic link:
  • Read from source node to the parent.
  • Write from the parent to the source node.
  • Read from the source node to the parent and write from the parent to the source node.

Time interval for the periodic reading of the dynamic link source field variables.

Enable/disable the virtual keyboard.
