Overview
This course introduces the FactoryTalk Edge Gateway software and the use of FactoryTalk Smart Object models. FactoryTalk Edge Gateway connects operational technology (OT) to information technology (IT) destination systems and allows for improved data contextualization from the OT level that is streamed to higher-level IT applications. FactoryTalk Smart Object models are a contextualization option that are based on controller code.
