Overview

This course introduces the core components of a PlantPAx® 5.0 distributed control system, including HMI, alarms, and security required to operate a PlantPAx system. In this course, you will learn PlantPAx concepts and terminology and will be shown how to: 

  • Navigate in a PlantPAx 5.0 HMI system 
  • Interpret process objects and faceplates in a PlantPAx 5.0 application  
  • Operate within the security of a PlantPAx 5.0 system 
  • Interpret and respond to alarms in a PlantPAx 5.0 application 
  • Viewing and modifying trends in a PlantPAx 5.0 application

Prerequisites

Practical work experience with process applications, ControlLogix® systems, and FactoryTalk® View SE applications is beneficial but not required.
