A Perfect Score on the Corporate Equality Index is More Than a Number

Identifying a Healthy Workplace Culture

It is an honor to say that, once again, our company has received a perfect score (100%) on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

Administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, this is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

Earning a place on this index is important because it is one of the ways we can show potential employees that we offer a safe and equitable work environment.

Why Company Culture Matters

All employees, when deciding where to work, should take into consideration a company’s culture.

Members of the LGBTQ community look at the CEI when they are job searching to find out if a company has a reputation for treating people fairly. Those are the types of companies that attract and retain the best talent. We are one of those companies, and that’s why this index matters.

This index reflects our priority to provide LGBTQ employees equity in healthcare benefits and non-discrimination policies, and the same rights and protections afforded to all employees.

The truth is, we would do this without an index measuring our performance. Our ROKOut employee resource group (ERG) offers real-time perspectives on workplace issues.

In fact, the group has partnered with Out and Equal to offer three levels of education and awareness training on what it means to be an ally and help improve engagement of all employees.

Reaching Out

Through a partnership with oSTEM, we’re reaching STEM students in the LGBTQ community. Our score on this index is important to these students, as they consider a company for their future career.

Our work as a company is not meant to reflect the morals, political views or religious affiliations of any one group.

This work is not about any single demographic or group of people. It’s not about changing a person’s values. It’s about our culture as a company – a culture of inclusion where we want people to come to work and be able to give their best, and be their best.

It’s about safety, equity and fairness – and creating a great environment for all employees.
