Remove and move devices

A device associated to a domain can be deleted or moved to another domain, as needed.
To delete a device from a domain:
  • Access the
    FactoryTalk Remote Access Manager
     and
    Explorer
    Domain view
    .
  • Click once on the device icon on the right pane and right-click on the device row. A context menu opens up.
  • Choose
    Move
     or
    Remove
     among the actions listed in the context menu.
NOTE: Once a device has been deleted, it can be registered to a new domain. See Protection against domain change for further information on this subject.
Once you have deleted your device, you will be prompted to enter username and password at the next connection to the server. In fact, username and password are necessary information for connecting to a domain.
