Widgets

Widgets are pre-configured objects that allow you to interact with and configure the device at runtime. For example, set the date and time and or load the FactoryTalk Optix Application on the device.
Widgets include:
  • FactoryTalk Remote Access Widget
    . Connect the device to
    FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
     server and then manage remote connections to the device as well as submit assistance requests.
  • Date and Time Widget
    . Specify the time zone, date and time, time synchronization and Local Network Time Protocol for the device.
  • Device Settings Widget
    . Configure application and firmware updates, change the name of the device, and view product information and diagnostics for the device. 
  • Network Settings Widget
    . Enable DHCP client and specify the IP address, Mask, gateway, and DNS settings for the network of the device.
  • Load Application Widget
    . Load a FactoryTalk Optix Application from a USB drive to the device.
