Web Server and Network Topology
There are system topologies where the web server launched from a device’s Add-On Profile
(AOP) could be for the wrong device. Here is one example.
In this topology the devices on the sub-networks have duplicate IP addresses.
If the workstation with the AOP is online with Device1 the web server launched from the AOP
will also be for Device1 (intended device).
If the workstation with the AOP is online with Device2 or DeviceN the web server launched
from the AOP will be for Device1 (an unintended device).
After launching the web server you must verify the web browser has reached the intended
device by checking the information on the web page (device tag, name, or other unique identity
information).
