Rockwell Automation has introduced an updated version of its Industrial Data Center (IDC). The latest generation IDC offers increased physical security with the addition of a badge scanner to the front and back door for monitored access. A new switch platform also helps improve reliability and maintainability.
The IDC includes all the hardware, software and installation services needed to deploy a virtualized environment. The turnkey solution houses all of a company’s applications in an easily managed and supported environment.
Because the IDC is pre-engineered and ready to deploy, in-house design and configuration is not required. This helps reduce lead times and speed commissioning. To simplify updates, the IDC enables installation and testing of new software without impacting the existing software.
