Company to demonstrate integrated process control technology to help improve operational efficiency
MILWAUKEE — Rockwell Automation will feature scalable automation solutions to help municipalities reduce process variability, meet regulatory requirements, improve operational efficiency and achieve secure, remote access to information at WEFTEC 2017 on Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 in Chicago.
Delivering reliable, safe and affordable access to water is driving utilities and water treatment plants to build smarter, more sustainable infrastructure. To address this, Rockwell Automation (Booth 3005) will showcase integrated control and visualization technology designed to increase diagnostic and networking capabilities, and enhance process control.
As municipalities manage the flow of information that originates from IT and OT infrastructures, they need systems to securely support both environments. In the booth, attendees will see the PlantPAx distributed control system from Rockwell Automation, which helps provide secure access to information to set the foundation for reporting, analysis and improvement. It also offers easy-to-use, plant-wide and scalable architectures, and cost-saving delivery and support tools.
Attendees will see smart motor-control solutions that help increase operational efficiency and availability. Attendees also will see how mobility solutions can help protect critical equipment through visibility to every device and user operating in an automated environment.
The booth also will feature interactive demos from Endress+Hauser, a Strategic Alliance member of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork program. The demos will simulate real-life process conditions, and new technology and instrumentation from both companies to help configure, control and connect water and wastewater operations.
“Our goal is to provide the water industry with technology and solutions that help address the most compelling challenges in the industry, such as meeting water-quality standards, managing labor and operational costs, and planning for facility expansion,” said Kelvin Hurdle, North America industry manager, Rockwell Automation.
