View alarm errors

Performing an operation that fails for an alarm, such as disabling an already disabled alarm, shows an
Error
icon Icon: Runtime Error button on the alarm table. Alarm operation errors are write errors. The
Error
icon disappears after 10 seconds. Unlike read errors, the error does not keep displaying the
Error
icon. An
Error
icon opens an
Error list
that contains:
  • The affected alarm table -- Alarm Summary or Alarm Manager
  • The alarm
  • The condition triggering the alarm
  • A description of the error
To view alarm errors
  1. Open the
    Alarm Summary
    screen or the
    Alarm Manager
    screen.
  2. In the alarm table, select alarms:
    • Individual alarm.
      Tap to select the alarm. Using an external keyboard,
      Tab
      to highlight the alarm list. Select the
      Up Arrow
      and
      Down Arrow
      to select alarms in the list.
    • Page of alarms.
      To select all alarms visible on the current page of alarms, select
      Select Page

    • All alarms.
      To select all alarms, including those not visible on the current page of alarms, select
      Select All

    Perform the operation. If an error occurs for the operation, an
    Error
    icon Icon: Runtime Error button appears in the upper left corner of the alarm table.
  3. Select the
    Error
    icon Icon: Runtime Error button. The list of alarms in the alarm table turns red and an
    Error list
    appears. When multiple alarms or conditions are in error, multiple error messages in the
    Error list
    .
    TIP:
    Disabled buttons have diagonal hash marks. Selecting a disabled button shows an
    Error
    icon Icon: Runtime Error button on the button for 10 seconds. Selecting the
    Error
    icon Icon: Runtime Error button displays an
    Error list
    with the message that the button is disabled.
