Rename a folder

Creating a folder gives the folder unique name such as Folder_001 or Folder_002. Change the name of the folder to reflect the purpose or contents of the folder. A folder in the
Navigation Menu
 folder of the
Project Explorer
 appears as a folder item in the
Navigation menu
 on the HMI device.
To rename a folder
  1. In the
    Project Explorer
    , expand the
    Navigation Menu
     folder or the
    User-Defined Screens
     folder.
    1. Right-click the folder and click
      Rename
      .
    2. Type a new name for the folder and press
      Enter
      .
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • Folder names at the same level must have unique names.
    • Renaming the
      Navigation Menu
      ,
      User-Defined Screens
      , or
      Predefined Screens
      root level folders is not allowed.
    • Create a caption for the folder to display more than eight characters and spaces.
