Save a copy of a project

Use the
Save Project As
 command to create a copy of an open project. Create a copy of a project to:
  • Create a project from an existing project.
  • Prevent overwriting the original project.
To save a copy of a project
  1. Select
    File > Save Project As
    .
  2. In the
    File name
     box, type a name for the project.
  3. Select
    Save
    . The open project is now the new project, not the original project. Pending edits are saved only to the new project. They are not saved to the original project.
    TIP:
    View Designer
     cannot save a project if a .vpd file with the same name is open in another instance of
    View Designer
    .
  4. (optional) Rename the project.
