Change the HMI device of a project

Change the type of HMI device for a project to change the device for which the project is configured. For example, change the HMI device for a project from a
PanelView
 HMI device to a
View 5000 Server
. Do this to view the runtime application on the different HMI device.
To change the HMI device of a project
  1. Select
    Project > Project Properties
    . The
    Target HMI Device
     dialog box opens.
  2. Select the HMI device. To search for the HMI device, start typing the name of the HMI device in the
    Search
    box.
  3. Click
    Next
    .
  4. Select the HMI device screen size for a
    PanelView
     HMI device project or the monitor size for a
    View 5000 Server
     project. The screens in the project represent the physical size of the screen for the project.
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • The default screen size is for a
      View 5000 Server
       project is
      Custom
      .
    • The last configured screen properties appear for the custom screen size. Change the screen properties to specify the unit of measure, screen size,a nd aspect ratio for the screen of a
      View 5000 Server
       project.
    • Changing screen properties automatically selects
      Custom
      as the screen size for a
      View 5000 Server
       project.
  5. Click
    OK
    .
