Add an event command to log on or log off the HMI device

Add an event command to either log on or log off the HMI device. Do this navigate a screen or popup on the HMI device. Do this to open a screen, navigate screen history, open or close a popup, or open the Navigation menu on the HMI device.
Prerequisites
  • Create an event to trigger the command:
    • Touch press.
      Occurs when touching the item on the screen that is configured with the event.
    • Touch release.
      Occurs when releasing the item on the screen that is configured with the event.
    • Key press.
      Occurs when
      pressing the specified key.
    • Key release.
      Occurs when releasing the specified key.
To add an event command to navigate screens
    1. Select the graphic element configured with the touch or key event.
    2. In the
      Properties
      pane on the
      Events
      tab, select
      Add Command
      .
    Expand the
    Security
    category and select the command:
    • Logon.
      Opens the
      Log On
      dialog box and closes any open popup when the event occurs.
    • Logoff.
      Logs off the project.
      TIP:
      When logging off, if the Guest user role has security access to the current screen, the screen remains open. If the Guest user role does not have security access to the current screen, the
      Home
      screen opens.
