Properties tab

How do I open the Properties tab?
On the
Properties
window, click the
Properties
tab.
The
Properties
tab contains the attributes of an item and the values assigned to that attribute. For example, the selected graphic element may have properties that define its color and position on the screen. Graphic elements, Add-On Graphics, screens, popups, shortcuts, and folders all have properties. These properties are categorized by type, such as Security, Appearance, and Position and Size.
Graphic elements share some common properties. Some graphic elements also have properties that are not common to all graphic elements. Graphic elements may also have built-in animation properties in the
General
category that animate the graphic element or change the information the graphic element shows on the HMI device.
Use the
Properties
tab to:
  • View or change the values of:
    • A property
    • Common properties between multi-selected graphic elements on a screen or popup
    • Common properties between multi-selected objects of the same type in
      Project Explorer
      .
  • Secure screens, popups, shortcuts, or folders.
  • Bind a property to a tag or expression so that the property value changes as the tag or expression value changes in a controller.
  • Link the value of a user-defined property to the value of its associated base property.
