Find a graphic element in the Toolbox

Use the
Toolbox
search feature to find a specific graphic element or types of graphic elements in the
Toolbox
.
To find a graphic element in the Toolbox:
  1. In the
    Toolbox search box
    , type the name of the graphic element or a keyword.
    • Search text can contain alphanumeric characters and can be full words, fragments of a word, or a single letter or number.
    • Search text is not case-sensitive.
Press
Enter
. The results display in the
Search Results
window in the
Toolbox
. Select Icon: View Designer Clear Search Icon in the
Toolbox search box
to clear the search results.
Use operators and filters
  • Use operators to narrow the search. Type one or more of the following operators with the keywords.
  • To search for:
    Use this operator:
    Example:
    Two or more keywords
    AND (all capital letters)
    reactor AND tank
    returns a list of graphic elements with both words in their name or description.
    One of several keywords
    OR (all capital letters)
    reactor OR tank
     returns a list of graphic elements with the word in their name or description.
    Exact keywords
    " " (quotation marks)
    "reactor tank"
     returns a list of graphic elements with those exact keywords in that specific order.
    Use one or more filters to narrow the search. Select Icon: View Designer Search Iconto display the list of filters. Select a filter name to add it to the search box and type the keyword or keywords.

    Combine operators and filters. For example:
    n:reactor AND tank
    returns a list of graphic elements that have reactor and tank in their name.
  • Use a previous search. Select the down arrow to see a list of your previous searches. Select one to add it to the search box.
