Bulk import new FactoryTalk Smart Object instances from a CSV file

After updating a CSV file with new
FactoryTalk Smart Object
 instances, bulk import the new
FactoryTalk Smart Object
 instances into
Studio 5000 Smart Object Configurator
.
To bulk import new
FactoryTalk Smart Object
 instances from a CSV file
  1. Select
    Import
    .
  2. Select
    New
    FactoryTalk Smart Object
     instances.
  3. Select
    Import
    .
  4. Select the CSV file to import.
    TIP:
    The CSV file that is based on the creation template contains different headings from the CSV created when exporting a full configuration. Import the correct CSV file.
  5. Select
    Open
    .
    The information model contains the new values.
    TIP:
    If you have a long list of errors, in
    Import results
    , copy the errors to the clipboard and then copy the errors to a preferred text editor for review.
