Browse user-defined data types

Browse user-defined data types (UDTs) to review their details: list of members, member types and the structure.
TIP:
In this release UDTs are read-only and reflect UDTs configured in Studio 5000 Logix Designer. Use Studio 5000 Logix Designer to make changes to UDTs. When you edit the UDT tag in Studio 5000 Logix Designer and update the information model in the SOC tool (by clicking
Refresh information model
 or reopening SOC tool), the specific UDT AOI is re-injected with the updated _CopySize and _StructureSize.
To browse user-defined data types
  1. In
    Studio 5000 Logix Designer
    , create an a user-defined data type.
  2. In
    Studio 5000 Smart Object Configurator
    , select
    Configure UDTs
    .
  3. Select
    Refresh information model
     to see the new user-defined data type.
  4. Select the new user-defined data type.
  5. Review the contents of the user-defined data type.
