Select the Catalog Number as the data source

Using the
Motor
tab, specify where the motor configuration values are originating by selecting a motor by catalog number from the Motion Database.
To select the Catalog Number as the data source:
  1. In the
    Axis Properties
     dialog box, in the
    Categories
    pane
    ,
     select
    Motor
    .
  2. In the
    Motor Device Specification
     area, from the
    Data Source
     list, select
    Catalog Number
    .
  3. Select
    Change Catalog
    .
  4. In the
    Change Catalog Number
     dialog box, select a motor and select
    OK
    . The
    Nameplate/Datasheet - Phase to Phase
     parameters are populated with the parameter information for the selected motor.
  5. Select
    Apply
    to apply the changes.
    TIP:
    When using a motor catalog number as the data source, default values, for example, gains and dynamics, are automatically set based on the
    Application Type and Loop Response
    settings from the
    General
    tab. Using default values minimizes the need for adjusting these parameters using autotune, manual tune, and the manual setting of these parameters.
