Select Module Type dialog box - Favorites tab

The
Favorites
tab provides a way to customize the list of module types that are shown. Add commonly used modules to Favorites, making it much easier to add and configure module types for applications.
These parameters are available on this tab.
Search box
Narrow the number of modules if there are more than will display in the Favorites list. Note that the search is performed only on modules in the Catalog Results area of the
Favorites
tab.
Favorites Results
Displays the module name, description, and vendor for the module. Sort the list of modules based on
Catalog Number
,
Description
,
Vendor
, or
Category
.
Only those module types that can be created under the given context display in the Favorites Results list, even though more module types may be part of the Favorites list. For example, I/O module types added to the favorites list will not display when searching the Favorites list under a 1769 backplane because they are not valid under the 1769 backplane context.
Favorites Results list controls
Sort arrow on column headings:
Sort the module type list alphanumerically in ascending or descending order based on any column. Selecting on the desired column toggles the sort between ascending and descending order. The default is ascending. A sort arrow displays on the column currently sorted, indicating the direction of the sort.
Right-click on an item to select to
Create
it or to
Remove Favorite
from the list.
Clear Filters
Select this button to clear the search box of any text that has been typed. Resets the
Favorites
list to its original content.
TIP:
Original content is the content that displays when the dialog box is opened.
Close on Create
Determines whether the
Select Module Type
dialog box closes or remains open after selecting
Create
. If the check box is selected, the
Select Module Type
dialog box closes and the
New Module
dialog box opens. If the box is cleared, the
Select Module Type
dialog box remains open in the background and the
New Module
dialog box opens.
Remove Favorite button
Select this button to remove the currently selected module type from the Favorites list.
