File not recognized as a valid project file
The
Logix Designer
application performs a collection of integrity checks on a project file before opening it. This file has failed those checks. This can happen if a file created by a program other than the
Logix Designer
application was given a name ending in the .ACD extension..ACD
The file extension used for project files created by the
Logix Designer
application. It can also happen if a program other than the
Logix Designer
application wrote into a valid Logix Designer
application project file (For example, if you looked at the file in a text editor, and saved the file with a change, or if something corrupted this part of your disk). In this case, you may recover your project file either by restoring from a saved backup copy, or by uploading from a controller containing the project. You may also have a project file created by a prior Beta version of the
Logix Designer
application that cannot be opened by this release of the software. In this case, you can open the project with the version of the software used to create it, save it as an .L5K file, and then open that file with this version of the software. Note that you may have to do some manual editing of the .L5K file..L5K
A file format used for text files imported and exported by the
Logix Designer
application. An .L5K file contains an ASCII representation of the data for an entire project and, when imported, creates a new project file or overwrites an existing project file. This is in contrast to the .CSV.The file extension for this format must be .L5K; if you change the extension using a tool like the Windows Explorer, the
Logix Designer
application is not able to import this file.Provide Feedback
