Enable web application security

Web application security limits which user groups can view web application displays. If enabled, permissions set in
FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration
determine which actions user groups can perform. Users will be required to sign in to access web applications.
Users viewing a published web application when web application security is enabled must refresh their browsers and sign in using their
FactoryTalk Directory
credentials.
Web application security is not enabled until a new MER file is created and transferred to the operator terminal.
