Select a FactoryTalk View application

Select a
FactoryTalk View
 application to publish one or more of its displays to
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
.
To select a
FactoryTalk View
 application
  1. Click
    Start > All Programs > Rockwell Software >
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint
    , and then click
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration
    .
  2. From the navigation bar, select
    Publish Displays
    .
  3. From the
    Select a
    FactoryTalk View
     application type
     list, select an application type.
    • Site Edition (Network Distributed)
       - shows applications from the
      FactoryTalk
       Network Directory specified in the
      FactoryTalk Directory
       Server Location Utility
      .
    • Site Edition (Network Station)
       - shows applications from the
      FactoryTalk
       Network Directory on the computer that hosts the
      FactoryTalk ViewPoint
       server.
    • Site Edition (Local)
       - shows applications from the
      FactoryTalk
       Local Directory on the computer that hosts the
      FactoryTalk ViewPoint
       server.
      TIP:
      • If you select Site Edition (Network Distributed) or (Network Station) but the
        FactoryTalk
         Network Directory does not contain any applications, verify the
        FactoryTalk Directory
         location is set correctly.
      • If you select Site Edition (Local) but the
        FactoryTalk
         Local Directory does not contain any applications, verify the application is hosted on the local machine.
  4. From the
    Select the application
     list, select a
    FactoryTalk View
     application to publish.
