Specify the
FactoryTalk Directory
location to select which computer hosts the network directory.
FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration
uses this directory to find applications to publish and to authenticate user groups. Changing this setting affects all
Rockwell Automation
software that connects to the network directory on the
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
server.

  1. On the
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint
    Server computer, click

    FactoryTalk Directory
    Location
    .
  2. If you receive a prompt to sign in, type a user name and password, and then click
    OK
    .
    IMPORTANT:
The account must have administrative privileges in
    Windows®
    and the
    FactoryTalk
Network Directory on the computer that hosts the

    FactoryTalk

    security groups separately.
