ViewPoint trend does not show data

If a
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
trend does not show any data, consider the following potential causes and remedies.
No pen values selected
If all the check-mark boxes are unmarked, trend lines will not be visible.
  • Verify at least one pen is selected in the Legend.
Trend paused
If the trend was paused before it received data, it may appear blank.
  • Verify the trend is not paused.
Networking and communications failure
If networking and communications have failed on the host computer, the
FactoryTalk ViewPoint
server will be unable to communicate with the
FactoryTalk View
Live Data servers.
  • If possible, configure and launch a
    FactoryTalk View
    client instance on the same computer that runs the
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint
    server and observe its behavior.
    If the same trend object is not showing any data, the problem is not in
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint
    but at the lower levels such as the networking and communications.
Another typical symptom of networking or communications failure is partial or total wire-framing.
