Migrate the historical data in file sets

If the historical data of data log models is stored in file sets, use the built-in
Migrate
function on the DataLogPro menu bar to migrate the historical data to InfluxDB. Make sure that you have added the list of tags to DataLogPro first.
Prerequisites
To migrate historical data in file sets
  1. Copy a data log model's MDF file and its associated folder with the same name containing DAT files to a folder that is accessible by the
    Migrate
    function.
TIP: When copying the MDF file and its associated DAT files to a folder, make sure you keep the file and folder structure, which is one MDF file and a folder with the same name with DAT files in it. By default, the files are in C:\Users\Public\Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI projects\<ApplicationName>\DLGLOG.
  2. In DataLogPro editor, select the
    Migrate
    on the menu bar.
  3. Browse the MDF file, and then select
    Migrate
    .
    TIP:
If your application is a network distributed application, and you are logging to a local InfluxDB database, the historical data will be migrated to the active HMI server only. You must manually migrate the historical data to the standby HMI server by first switching to the standby HMI server, and then migrating the data to that server.
