Delete an application

Use the
FactoryTalk View SE Application Manager
to delete a local or network
FactoryTalk View SE
application. This removes the application from
FactoryTalk Directory
so that it becomes invisible to other computers on the network.
Use the Windows Explorer to delete HMI project files from the computer hosting the HMI server. By default, the HMI project files are stored in the folder
C:\Users\Public\Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI projects
.
You should not delete an application that is in use. Before attempting to delete an application, make sure that all applications and services are shut down. This is particularly important if you are switching between multiple applications.
TIP:
To delete an application using the
Application Manager
, the user must have the appropriate security permissions in
FactoryTalk Security
. The permissions required to delete an application are
Read
,
List Children
, and
Delete
in the
FactoryTalk Directory
, which is the top level in the Explorer window.
