FactoryTalk View SE Cache File Management Tool
Use the
FactoryTalk View SE
Cache File Management Tool to manage the cache files of HMI server components. If your system has multiple users, cache files are stored by user in the FTLocalCache
folder. By default, the cache files are stored in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\RSView Enterprise\SE\FTLocalCache.- Move FolderClick to specify another location for theFTLocalCachefolder.Moving theFTLocalCachefolder deletes the original folders and cache files.
- View Cache FilesClick to open theFTLocalCachefolder.Do not move or delete cache files or folders from Windows File Explorer directly, which may result in unexpected errors. Instead, useDelete All Cache Files.
- Delete All Cache FilesClick to delete all users' cache files and folders.
- Disk space to use per userSpecify the disk space of each user's cache files. To ensure thatFactoryTalk View Studiocan open HMI projects andFactoryTalk View SEClients can open HMI server components, we recommend that you set the disk space per user to twice the size of the HMI project folder. For example, if an application contains multiple HMI servers, add up the size of all the corresponding HMI project folders, and then multiply that number by two. By default, HMI project files are stored in C:\Users\Public\Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI projects on the computers hosting HMI servers in a network application.Consider the overall disk usage if multiple Windows users manipulate the HMI project, because theFTLocalCachefolder size is the total disk space of all these users.
