FactoryTalk View SE Cache File Management Tool

Use the
FactoryTalk View SE
Cache File Management Tool to manage the cache files of HMI server components. If your system has multiple users, cache files are stored by user in the
FTLocalCache
folder. By default, the cache files are stored in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\RSView Enterprise\SE\FTLocalCache.
  • Move Folder
Click to specify another location for the
    FTLocalCache
    folder.
    Moving the
    FTLocalCache
folder deletes the original folders and cache files.
  • View Cache Files
    Click to open the
    FTLocalCache
    folder.
Do not move or delete cache files or folders from Windows File Explorer directly, which may result in unexpected errors. Instead, use
    Delete All Cache Files
    .
  • Delete All Cache Files
Click to delete all users' cache files and folders.
  • Disk space to use per user
Specify the disk space of each user's cache files.
    To ensure that
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    can open HMI projects and
    FactoryTalk View SE
Clients can open HMI server components, we recommend that you set the disk space per user to twice the size of the HMI project folder. For example, if an application contains multiple HMI servers, add up the size of all the corresponding HMI project folders, and then multiply that number by two. By default, HMI project files are stored in C:\Users\Public\Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI projects on the computers hosting HMI servers in a network application.
Consider the overall disk usage if multiple Windows users manipulate the HMI project, because the
    FTLocalCache
folder size is the total disk space of all these users.
