Scopes of restore
The following table shows the scope options during a restore operation.
Scope option | Description |

Restore HMI project files only | Restores only HMI server from the archive. |
Restore application | Restores the entire application, including HMI Servers, FactoryTalk Alarms and Events servers, and data server configuration. |
Restore application, with FactoryTalk Directory | Restores the application, along with the entire FactoryTalk Directory. |
Restore application, with FactoryTalk Directory and Security Identifier | Restore the entire application, along with the entire FactoryTalk Directory and its logical security identifiers. |
