Message connection

This connection allows the message text to be shown elsewhere besides on the alarm graphic display or alarm list.

If you assign this connection and select the

Message to Tag

option for the trigger, when the alarm is triggered, up to 82 characters of the message text is written to this connection. The maximum string length supported by

FactoryTalk View ME

is 82 characters.
