Create a polygon object

Use the polygon tool to draw a series of connected straight lines forming a closed shape.
To create a polygon object
  1. In the
    Graphics Display
    editor, select
    Objects > Drawing > Polygon
     or drag Polygon tool from the toolbox.
  2. Press the Mouse button and drag the mouse to draw the first line segment.
    TIP:
    Press
    Ctrl
     as you drag or click the mouse to draw a horizontal or vertical line segment.
  3. To create the next line segment, point the mouse where you want the next segment to end, and then click the Left mouse button.
    The application automatically connects the last segment to the first. Keep clicking to add more line segments.
  4. Double-click the polygon to open its
    Properties
    dialog box.
  5. In the
    Properties
     dialog box, specify how you want the polygon to look.
    TIP:
    • Squares and rectangles are classified as specialized forms of polygons, but you use the rectangle tool to create them.
    • Creating a polygon with only two points actually creates a line.
