Options on the General tab of the Alarm Status List Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
General
tab of the
Alarm Status List Properties
dialog box.
Options
Descriptions
Appearance
Specify the object's appearance in this area.
Border style
Select a border style for the object.
Border width
Type the number of pixels for the width of the object’s border.
Back style
Specifies the object background. Available options are:
  • Solid.
    The object’s background is filled with a solid color specified in the
    Back color
    option.
  • Gradient
    . The object's background is filled with a linear gradient color.
Border uses back color
Select this check box to use the object’s background color for the border of the object.
Clear this check box to use the selected
Border Color
.
Back color
This box shows the current background color for the object. Click it to select another color.
If the background style is gradient, click it to open the gradient fill dialog box to configure the gradient fill.
Border color
This box shows the border color for the object. Click it to select another color.
If
Border uses back color
is not selected, this color appears at runtime.
Fore color
This box shows the color of the text shown on the object. Click it to select another color.
If
Use alarm colors
is selected, the application does not use this color. Instead, it shows messages using the
Foreground
and
Background
colors defined on the
Messages
tab of the
Alarm Setup
editor.
Header back color
This box shows the current color for the heading bar at the top of the object. Click it to select another color.
Header fore color
This box shows the current color for the text in the heading bar at the top of the object. Click it to select another color.
Selection back color
This box shows the color for the highlight bar. Click it to select another color.
The highlight bar indicates the selected alarm message at runtime.
Selection fore color
This box shows the color for the caption on the highlighted alarm message. Click it to select another color.
Use alarm colors
Select this check box to show alarm messages using the
Background
and
Foreground
colors defined in the
Alarm Setup
editor instead of the
Fore color
and
Back color
selections on this tab.
Text
The text properties apply to the alarm messages in the alarm status list.
Font
Select the font to use for the message.
Size
Select the font size to use for the message.
Bold, Italic, Underline
Select a font style for the message, if required.
Other
Key navigation
Select this check box to allow the user to navigate to the object using the keyboard and give the object input focus.
Wrap around
Select this check box if you want the list to wrap from the end of the list to the beginning when scrolling down, and from the beginning of the list to the end when scrolling up.
Use Alarm Identifier
Select this check box to write the alarm identifier value assigned to the alarm message to the tag specified for the AlarmIdentifier connection.
