Options on the Alarm tab of the Alarm List Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
Alarm
tab of the
Alarm List Properties
dialog box.
Options
Descriptions
Columns
Specify which columns to use, the symbols to show, if any, their time and date format and what header text they will show, if any.
Display header
Select this check box to show column headers on the object.
Select a column
Select a column to be edited:
  • Acknowledge symbol -
    Shows a symbol beside an acknowledged alarm.
  • Active symbol -
    Shows a symbol beside an active alarm.
  • Alarm time -
    Shows the time the alarm was triggered.
  • Acknowledge time -
    Shows the time the alarm was acknowledged.
  • Message -
    Shows the alarm's message as defined on the
    Messages
    tab of the
    Alarm Setup
    editor. You cannot clear the
    Display column
    check box for
    Message
    .
Display column
Select this check box if you want the selected column to appear on the object.
Time and date format
Select the time and date format to show.
The available options reflect the settings in your development computer’s operating system. In Windows, these are found in the
Regional and Language
options in the
Control Panel
. If the operating system settings are different on your development and runtime systems, the runtime settings are used at runtime.
If the
Acknowledge Symbol
,
Active symbol
, or
Message
column is selected, this option is unavailable.
Header text
Type the text to show for the header of the selected column.
Symbol
Type a symbol to show beside an acknowledged or active alarm.
List settings
Select how many lines each alarm can use, how selected alarms will be indicated, and word wrap behavior for messages.
Lines per alarm
Select the number of lines, from 1 to 10, each alarm will occupy in the object. The default is 1.
Selected alarm indicator
Select whether the selected alarms will be indicated by a highlight bar or by a cursor.
Word wrap
Select this check box if you want the text to continue on the next line at the beginning of a new word.
If this check box is cleared, the text continues on the next line whenever the maximum text length is reached, even if this occurs in the middle of a word or number. The maximum text length depends on the width of the object and the font size.
Filtering
Filter the object to show only the alarms from the specified triggers.
Filtered triggers
Click the
Browse
button to open the Trigger Label Selector, where you can select the alarm trigger labels whose alarms will be included on the display as they occur.
If this box is blank, all alarms are shown.
