Options on the States tab of the Symbol Indicator Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
States
tab of the
Symbol Indicator Properties
dialog box.

Descriptions
Select state
Click the state for which to set up properties. There is an error state, which is labeled
Error
.
General
Value
Type the integer value to use for each state. You cannot assign a value to the error state. When the Indicator connection changes to this value, the object's appearance changes to the settings you specify for the state.
Border color
This box shows the border color for the state. Click it to select another color.
If
Border uses back color
is not selected on the
General
tab, this color appears at runtime.
Image settings
Image color
This property applies to monochrome images. It determines the color the image is drawn in; that is, the foreground color.
Click the colored box to select another color.
Image back color
This property applies to monochrome images. It determines the color of the background the image is drawn on. Click the colored box to select another color.
If the
Image back style
is
Transparent
, the background of the image will be transparent.
Image blink
Select this check box to let the monochrome image blink at runtime. The image blinks twice per second.
Image back style
This property applies to monochrome and color images. Use it to set the background style to
Solid
or
Transparent
.
If Image back style is
Transparent
:
  • For monochrome images, the background will be transparent .
  • For color images that are not PNG with Alpha channel, any parts of the images that are black will be transparent.
