Set up connections for a string display

Use the
Connections
tab of the
String Display Properties
dialog box to set up tags for the object.
To set up tags for a string display
  1. In the
    Graphics Display
     editor, double-click the display to open its
    Properties
    dialog box.
  2. Click the
    Connections
    tab.
  3. Assign a tag or expression to this connection:
    Value
    A read connection. Assign a tag or expression that can support up to 82 characters (bytes). The application reads the value of the Value connection’s tag at the data source to determine the string to show.
    If you assign an expression, the application calculates the value of the expression and updates the string display to reflect the value.
