Set up states for a multistate indicator
Use the
States
tab to set up how the multistate indicator's appearance changes to match the value of the Indicator connection.To set up states for the multistate indicator
- In theGraphics Displayeditor, double-click the object to open itsPropertiesdialog box.
- Click theStatestab.
- From theSelect statelist, selectState 0.
- Specify these properties for State 0:
- Value
- General appearance
- Caption, if any
- Image, if any
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each additional state and the Error state. (The Error state does not have a value.) You can enter a maximum of 2000 states, plus the Error state.
Once you set up the properties for one state, you can copy and paste the state’s properties to another state or to all states.
TIP:
To add or remove a state without returning to the
General
tab, click Insert State
or Delete State
