How the gauge works at runtime
The gauge’s needle moves around the dial to reflect the Value connection value at the data source. If you set the sweep style to
Fill
on the General
tab, the color of the dial behind the needle fills as the needle moves. The gauge’s behavior at runtime also depends on how you set up thresholds and controls.
Use thresholds
If you set up thresholds for the gauge, when the Value connection value is at or above the threshold value, the color of the fill changes (if you set up different fill colors for thresholds on the
Display
tab). You can also configure the section of the gauge at or above the threshold level to blink.Open graphic displays
When you open a display at runtime, the application reads the Value connection value and updates the gauge based on the value.
