Options on the Pens tab of the ME ChartEx Control Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
Pens
tab of the
ME ChartEx Control Properties
 dialog box.
Options
Descriptions
Display Legend
Select this check box to show the legend on the right of the chart. The legend percentage supports five percent increment from 10 percent through 50 percent.
The legend shows each visible trend line with its label. The label is read from tags
DataSeries_x.Label.
Pen Attributes
Use the spreadsheet to configure the appearance of each pen on the chart at runtime, including line color, width, style, and marker.
Color
Specify the color of the chart line. Click the color square and select a color from the palette.
Width
Specify the width of the chart line. The larger the size, the thicker the width.
Style
Specify the style of the chart line such as solid, dashed, dotted, and other styles.
Marker
Specify the plot symbol for each data point.
Connection Type
Select an option to specify how data points are connected for each pen.
  • Connect points -
    Data points are connected with a line. To view connected points and markers on the chart, configure the marker symbol for each pen on the
    Pens
    tab.
  • Show only markers -
    A marker is shown for each data point. Lines do not connect the data points and the chart shows only the pens with assigned markers. Any pen without an assigned marker does not show on the chart.
Multiple Pen Edits
Use the spreadsheet to apply attributes to one or more pens.
Clear Selections
Click this button to clear the attributes.
Apply to Selected Pens
Click this button to apply the attributes to the selected pen or pens.
